On Saturday 15th November, Reading Phoenix Choir were delighted to sing another concert to support the work of Prior's Court in helping to improve the lives of autistic young people with complex needs. The setting was Douai Abbey in Woolhapton which is situated quite close to Priors' Court location near Hermitage.
The audience were treated to music by Jacobus Clemens non papa, Anton Bruckner, Herbert Howells, Peter Warlock, Sally Beamish, Kerensa Briggs and many others. Especially included, as he celebrated his 80th Birthday in late Sepember, were a set of works by the much loved British composer, John Rutter.
The concert raised much needed funds for Prior's Court to fund essential equipment and resources that will enable young people at Prior’s Court to regulate, express themselves and build vital life skills that will lead to greater independence and fulfilment.
