    Description: Carol Concert
Reading Phoenix Choir will again give their usual highly popular Carol Concert in Reading town centre. Featuring some familiar, and less well known Chistmas music to start you off on your journey to Christmas. Under 16s enter free so it is an event for the whole family.

This year the Reading Phoenix Choir Carol Concert will be held in a new venue, St Mary's Chapel in Castle St, which is the church with the big columns near 'Sweeney and Todd'.

Proceeds from this concert will be going to the Refugee Support Group, based in Reading who have been helping refugees to rebuild their lives here in Berkshire since 1994.

They support people from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syria and all across the world who have been through unimaginable horrors;  escaping war, violence and persecution. These people have experienced torture and modern slavery.

The Refugee Support Group offers free advice and legal support, provide Drop In centres and safe spaces. They have helped people learn English, given families laptops so their children can do homework, helped people who have been tortured find the right mental health support and people with shrapnel still in their bodies find the right doctor. They have also helped trafficked mothers and their babies into safety.

Right now hundreds of refugees in Berkshire are struggling with loneliness, poverty, and depression and need our help.

Please help the Refugee Support Group help them by supporting this Carol Concert. You can also donate to the Refugee Support Group here: https://refugeesupportgroup.org.uk/donate/
