If you are an event organiser, or are looking for ways to raise money for a worthy cause, then Reading Phoenix Choir offers the perfect solution. The choir can provide an evening concert at your venue that is guaranteed to delight music-lovers and make a lasting impression on your audience.
Taking into account the choir’s concert charges, an organiser can readily raise several hundred pounds from a concert. Some have raised well over £1000. The choir can support you by providing a concert organiser’s pack which gives you suggestions and advice on making your concert a success.
Concerts are normally held on a Saturday during the choir’s performing season (September to July) and the choir will travel up to 150 miles for a same-day concert.
Reading Phoenix Choir is committed to the development of singers of all ages and the celebration of choral music.
As part of this commitment, the choir offers a variety of workshops and educational events including:
Singing tuition and vocal workshops with our Musical Director, Christopher Hann
The opportunity to perform with an award-winning adult chamber choir
Choir workshops on your own or new repertoire
These can all be tailored to meet your needs and budget.
For some events the choir has managed to obtain ‘match funding’ from The Englefield Trust, to allow us to reduce the costs further.
Workshop and concert
A format that works particularly well for schools and young singing groups is an afternoon workshop followed by a joint evening concert with Reading Phoenix Choir.
The workshops are free of charge to participants, and are great fun. Workshops can be delivered to any age group from Year 3 to Year 13, and are a fantastic opportunity for young people to improve their singing as well as perform with Reading Phoenix Choir in an evening concert, raising money for good causes.
A unique and inspiring experience for any young singers!
