SUMMARY:Concert - Sing for Refugees
DESCRIPTION:Reading Phoenix Choir will perform a selection of\, mainly a ca
 ppella\, music from across the centuries from Hildegard von Bingen to Josu
  Elberdin. The music will also include works by Tallis\, Wesley\, Mozart\,
  Mendelssohn\, Bruckner\, Elgar\, and John Rutter. You will also be introd
 uced to some excellent newer choral pieces by some modern young composers.
 \n\nThe money raised at the concert will be used to support the work of th
 e Refugee Support Group.\n\n"We are delighted and honoured that the Readin
 g Phoenix Choir will be singing to support Refugee Support Group (RSG) at 
 this concert. Refugees and asylum seekers have faced unimaginable horrors 
 and challenges most of us will never understand. Sadly\, their difficultie
 s do not end in the UK as they face an increasingly hostile environment. R
 efugee Support Group has been supporting such refugees in Berkshire for ov
 er 30 years\, and we will be so grateful for your support in coming to thi
 s concert to hear this wonderful choir\, which will help enable us to cont
 inue to employ our casework team who provide much-needed and free advice a
